Looking to boost your Steam Deck storage? Corsair’s MP600 SSD is up for grabs, and it’s hit its lowest price ever over at Amazon.
Getting a smaller variant of the Steam Deck might be a great way to save some cash, but if you’ve already got a big MicroSD and are looking for more space, you might want to replace your system’s SSD. While it’s not an entirely straightforward process, it could be an easy way to boost your portable storage.
This price drop likely won’t last forever, as the price of flash memory is set to spike, so be sure to grab a bargain while you can.
Perfect for Steam Deck & other handhelds
If you were looking to upgrade a different handheld, like the Asus ROG Ally, then this drive will be perfect too, possessing a 2230 form factor. If you look back to a handful of years ago, barely any of these drives were commercially available. But, the story is different now, with the Steam Deck having popularized the form factor. Now, brands are all offering their own 2230 drives, meaning that prices in the segment have been getting increasingly competitive.
We’re still yet to see capacities higher than 2TB for this form factor, but we may need to first get newer handhelds using PCIe 5, rather than PCI 4, and it’s still early days for that tech, as hardware manufacturers work to develop fully sized drives which do not require larger heatsinks due to their blisteringly fast speeds.

So, with nothing better on the horizon for the foreseeable, you might as well settle for a 1TB upgrade, which won’t break the bank, either.
