Apple Vision Pro headsets are already being returned by some early adopters just 10 days after their release on February 2, 2024.
Announced during WWDC 2023, The Apple Vision Pro became available in early 2024 just as planned and customers flocked to the Apple Store app and in person to pick up their headset.
Apple reportedly sold over 200,000 headsets during the first few weeks of availability, but it seems like some customers aren’t quite happy with their nearly $4,000 purchase.
Select users across social media have found themselves returning the Apple Vision Pro rather quickly, with complaints about overall comfort.
Customers are returning the Apple Vision Pro
On February 12, 2024, Vox Media’s Parker Ortolani revealed that he returned his Apple Vision Pro to the store he bought it from after 10 days of ownership.
“What a bummer of a day. Can’t believe it, but I’ve returned the Vision Pro. Just too uncomfortable to wear and it’s a strain on my eyes. It’s clearly the future. It works like magic,” he said.

“But the physical tradeoffs are just not worth it for me right now. I’ll be back for the next one, assuming they fix these comfort issues.”
He’s not the first to return the Apple Vision Pro since launch either, as many have taken to Twitter to share many of the same thoughts.
“Returned my Vision Pro today. I really wanted to love it- I own and love every other Apple product. Sadly it just didn’t hit the mark for me,” one user replied.
Another user brought up a handful of comfort-related issues when explaining why he returned the device as well. There’s hundreds of more comments across social media, so it will be interesting to see how many people are still actively using the $3500 headset in just a few months.
