Wondering where to buy the LG C4 OLED? The TVs will start at $1600, going way up to $5400. Here’s everything you need to know about LG’s brand-new panels.
The all-new LG C4 OLEDs succeed the C3 OLED, which has been one of the best OLED TVs for the better part of the last year.
The LG C4 Evo OLED and several other flagship TVs, including the G4 Evo, were recently announced. However, the company did not reveal anything about the availability or price – which has now been made public.
Among various features, the C4 OLED focuses heavily on AI, and why not? Every other connected device, including your phones and wannabe phones, relies heavily on the prowess of artificial intelligence.
The LG C4 OLED is an iterative update over its predecessor. This means that while the C3 OLED introduced various “firsts,” the C4 OLED fine-tunes minute things to offer an overall improved TV viewing experience.
If you’ve been saving to get a flagship OLED TV and want to know if it’s worth waiting for the C4 OLED, we bring everything that you need to know.
Where to buy the LG C4 OLED: Price explained
The price of LG C4 OLED TV starts at $1,499 and goes up to $5,399 for the top-end variant. The TV comes in six different sizes to meet the requirements of most users.
Size | Price |
42-inch | $1,499 |
48-inch | $1,599 |
55-inch | $1,999 |
65-inch | $2,699 |
77-inch | $3,699 |
83-inch | $5,399 |
Though we had expected that LG would introduce the new TVs at the same price as the LG C3, a $200 increase in the price means that you’ll have to shell out more for the new TV.
This price increment is applied across the board, aside from the 83-inch model, which is surprising since the TVs only offer iterative updates over the LG C3 OLED.
Where to buy the LG C4 OLED: release date
The LG C4 OLED is up for pre-order on LG’s official website. The company is expected to start shipping the TV by the end of March.
We expect the TVs will soon be available on other shopping platforms and brick-and-mortar stores.
LG C4 OLED: Features, design, & specs
With the LG C4, the company has maintained an extremely thin, minimal design with almost no bezels around the display. This makes the TV look premium and offers an immersive viewing experience. LG continues with the pedestal design we saw in the C3 OLEDs.

However, as known earlier, the LG C4 doesn’t come with the 3rd-generation META OLED panel present on last year’s LG G3 OLED TV. While LG says it has found ways to boost brightness without using premium OLED panels, you can expect the brightness levels on the C4 OLED to be slightly lower than the other flagship OLED TVs from the South Korean brand.
The affordable and smaller, including the 42-inch and 48-inch variants of the C4 range, sport the same panel we saw on the 55-inch and above variants of the C3 OLED from 2023.
In terms of connectivity ports, the LG C4 has four HDMI 2.1 ports and supports AirPlay and Chromecast. The TV supports a 4K 144Hz refresh rate compared to the 120 Hz refresh rate on the C3. It is also AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync certified and continues to have LG’s Game Optimizer feature, which will please gamers.
Last but not least, LG’s new Alpha a9 AI Processor, an improved version of the Alpha A9 processor from last year, powers the TV. This processor offers better performance and will also be responsible for increased brightness.
Among other things, LG says that this new processor handles critical features like – AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro. The LG C4 also pairs with the compatible LG soundbars and gets wireless, lossless Dolby Atmos audio, thus improving the audio output from the TV.
Should you upgrade from LG C3 OLED to LG C4 OLED?
With the pricing and availability details of the LG C4 OLED already out, we can quickly put the LG C3 vs. the LG C4 to understand if it makes sense to upgrade right away.
The C4 OLED TV brings many AI-powered features previously only seen in the LG G4 or M4 OLED TVs. However, the overall improvements compared to the LG C3 are incremental.
You might experience improved performance, smoother experience while navigating through the WebOS platform, and brighter image quality than the LG C3, but the difference might be insignificant. Moreover, the new TV is also $200 more expensive than last year’s model, but the improvements are hardly significant enough to warrant an upgrade.
So, if you’re already using the 2023 version, you may want to postpone the decision to “upgrade,” as the 2024 iteration might not have too many other differences.
