Samsung has just announced the Galaxy S24 series. If you’re curious about where to grab one, the specifications, and the price tag, we’ve got you covered with all the details.
Samsung’s latest flagship phones are now official. Like every year, we get three phones— the higher-end Galaxy S24 Ultra, a less-premium Galaxy S24+, and the petite Galaxy S24.
As you would guess, the S24 Ultra has gotten the most love from Samsung, featuring an upgraded camera system, redesigned display, and extra brightness. And hey, it also features a Titanium frame— something Apple announced with the iPhone 15 series.
All three phones come powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Samsung has also loaded them with plenty of AI features.
Samsung’s new Galaxy S24s are some of the best Android phones you can get right now. Below we discuss where you can buy them as well as their pricing, availability, and specs.
Where to buy Samsung Galaxy S24 series
Samsung says the S24 series will start shipping on January 31st but you can already pre-order them from Samsung store or Amazon. Pre-ordering directly from Samsung through January 30 will get you a storage upgrade for free.
You can also receive a $100 Samsung credit when you pre-order directly through the brand. If you pre-order from Amazon, you get up to $200 Amazon credit.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series price
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has seen a $100 price increase, with the base version now costing $1299. That’s a pretty steep ask for a non-foldable smartphone, and the costs only go up when you want more storage. Plus, no microSD card slot for extra space. The starting price of the Samsung Galaxy S24 is $800, $1000 for the Galaxy S24 Plus.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series: specs
Samsung has switched back to its dual chipset strategy this year. While the global variant might ship with the mighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, some regions may get Exynos 2400-powered phones. For the Samsung Galaxy S23, the company chose only to introduce a Snapdragon version; however, all previous flagships had an Exynos version.
Talking about the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is the base variant in the series containing three phones. It has a base 8 GB of RAM and two storage options of 128GB and 256 GB.
The Galaxy S24 ships with a triple-camera setup in a vertically aligned module. The phone’s body is Aluminum, and it comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. A 4000 mAh battery powers the phone with 25W charging support.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a Titanium build, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro, and has 12GB of RAM along with 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1TB storage variants.
The phone has an IP68 water and dust resistance certification, a built-in S-Pen, and a quad-camera setup. A 5000 mAh battery powers the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S24: Design and display
The S24 lineup has a similar design to the Galaxy S23 lineup, apart from the fact that the Galaxy S24 Ultra now has a flat display instead of a curved one at the front.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a massive 6.8-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and 2600 nits peak brightness. The Galaxy S24 Plus gets a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and 2600 nits peak brightness.
The vanilla Galaxy S24 is the smallest of the three, with a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and 2600 nits peak brightness.
Updates but mainly under the hood
Samsung follows its now-settled design language with the Galaxy S24 line-up. You might be disappointed if you wished for an innovative and breakthrough design.
With the dual chipset strategy, improved optics, and the introduction of Galaxy AI, the Galaxy S24 Series bring 7 years of Software updates. The Galaxy S23 models are currently one of the best Android phones you can get, giving Pixel 8 a run for its money.
