A recent job listing by Naughty Dog has fans speculating whether the Last of Us Part 2 might be coming to PC eventually. Is it also a hint to Sony’s future plans with PlayStation 5 exclusives?
With the next generation of consoles around the corner, gamers are on their edge of their seats with anticipation of any news. Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Series X at the Game Awards 2019, but Sony has largely kept information about the PlayStation 5 in the dark.
However, a job listing for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 has fueled speculation as to whether the title will also be coming to PC someday, fresh off of rumors that Horizon: Zero Dawn will be making the jump.
The Last of Us Part II on PC?
Fans first discovered the job listing on Naughty Dog’s website, which lists a position for graphics programmer. The job post reads “a through understanding of current GPU architectures,” which includes NVIDIA.

What makes this particularly interesting is that both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 are using AMD graphics cards, and not NVIDIA, which is a commonly used GPU for PC.
While it isn’t exactly evidence on its own, it was reported earlier in the week that another Sony exclusive title Horizon: Zero Dawn will be making its way to PC later this year, according to sources “familiar with Sony’s plans.”

Microsoft has already laid out their ideas for the next-gen, and are aiming to move away from exclusive titles, as Xbox Series X games will also play on Xbox One and PC.
In an interview with Matt Booty, the head of Microsoft Studios, he stated, “Over the next year, two years, all of our games, sort of like PC, will play up and down that family of devices.”
Although, other sources have hinted that Sony plans to double down on the exclusive strategy, and will absolutely have such titles at launch of the PS5, suggesting the two companies are walking down a different path for next-gen.
It should go without saying, but take this speculation with a major grain of salt. While it certainly seems that Horizon: Zero Dawn will be coming to PC, which makes for a major break for Sony’s usual strategy, it’s still just a job listing.

Boilerplate job descriptions are pretty commonplace as well, where a listing will include a generic set of qualifications, and the developer has previously listed DX11 in years past, so it might be just that – a generic job listing. But only time will tell.
