On their honeymoon, a couple went viral after revealing Delta Airlines had lost their luggage, forcing the newlywed husband to don resort gear.
Bailey Jehl, who goes by ‘baileyrecordjehl’ on TikTok, got married in June 2024 to 32-year-old Shane Hasty.
Following the celebration of their love, the newlyweds set off for an eight-day honeymoon at the couples-only Sandals Grande St. Lucian Resort.
However, when they landed, it was discovered that Shane’s suitcase had never arrived.
After missing the first day of their honeymoon in search of the luggage, Bailey and Shane decided to head to the resort in hopes it would turn up.
With no clothes, toiletries, contact lenses, or medication, Shane was forced to wear “resort merch” and blended in with staff during the first half of his stay.
“All the stuff he needed to survive on the island he didn’t have,” Bailey told the Daily Mail, admitting her husband had packed “all of his best clothes” for their honeymoon.

One clothing item Shane wasn’t able to acquire from the resort though was underwear; “He didn’t get any underwear as they didn’t have it.”
Instead, he had to go commando until, after three long days, his suitcase finally arrived. Bailey revealed the luggage had never left Texas, with the couple claiming Delta Airlines was to blame.
“It was very frustrating and it stopped us from hiking and doing things we wanted to do as he didn’t have the gear to do activities,” Bailey said. “It definitely put our honeymoon on hold for three days.”
Since posting about their experience on TikTok, the couple has gone viral and was even recognized during the remainder of their honeymoon at Sandals Resort.
Bailey told her followers how someone had approached them, asking whether Shane was the “Sandals guy from TikTok,” with fellow users on the social media platform dubbing the newlyweds as that “Sandals couple”.
“I think we won at this honeymoon thing,” Bailey declared, stating she and Shane were “famous” at the resort and ensuring the “frustrating” situation had a happy end.
