Clone Wars fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano will officially be returning to Star Wars later this month, with Disney Plus Germany accidentally confirming Rosario Dawson will indeed bring the former Jedi to live-action in The Mandalorian Season 2.
There have been rumblings for some time now that Ahsoka would be making her live-action Star Wars debut in The Mandalorian. The insider rumors, which have burned online for more than a year, suggested Rosario Dawson had already been cast as the fan-fave former Jedi.
Disney+ has now confirmed, totally by accident, the long-awaited news.
The streaming platform’s German Instagram account fired out a Mandalorian promo clip, which mentioned Sasha Banks — already seen in the Season 2 trailer — as well as Timothy Oliphaunt (playing Cobb Vanth) and Rosario Dawson.
The leak, originally attributed to Disney+ Denmark, has now been removed.

So, with Ahsoka Tano finally officially locked in to make her live-action Star Wars debut later this year, the next question is when will she slot into The Mandalorian’s Season 2 story?

According to a newly-released writer’s list, Dave Filoni inked the season’s fifth episode, which has not yet been named. It is also the only episode Filoni is directing too, and he said back in May he was “really excited” about that chapter’s narrative.
Ahsoka is Filoni’s favorite; he introduced her all the way back in The Clone Wars Season 1, and brought her to Rebels in its sophomore season. If anyone is to handle her jump into the live-action world of Star Wars, it’s absolutely going to be him.
With that in mind, Dexerto tips Ahsoka will first make her live-action debut in ‘Chapter 13,’ airing Nov. 27. She may then be in the following three episodes, in a multi-episode Jedi-focused arc that runs to Season 2’s finale.
Dawson’s casting as Ahsoka Tano wasn’t the only rumored character that has now officially been locked for The Mandalorian Season 2 either. Timothy Oliphaunt’s involvement was just an insider rumor before; he’s now been confirmed as well.
Boba Fett’s surprise Star Wars comeback will also happen sometime in The Mandalorian’s second outing. Temuera Morrison accidentally confirmed the fan-fave bounty hunter’s return appearance in an updated CV in mid-September.
