Here’s everything we know about Ahsoka, the upcoming Star Wars spinoff series, including any release date information, trailer cast, plot, and more.

Ahsoka will be the newest addition to the Star Wars collection on Disney Plus, joining the ranks of Andor, and The Mandalorian.

The show will follow the titular character on brand new adventures following the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, which Ahsoka briefly appeared in.

The character, who was originally introduced in the Star Wars animated series and film, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is a fan-favorite. As a result, many Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating the premiere of Ahsoka. Here is everything that we know so far.

Is there an Ahsoka release date?

Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.

This was revealed in a new teaser for the upcoming series:

In an interview with the Today Show, Ahsoka actor Rosario Dawson hinted at when the show could air on Disney+. Dawson telling the hosts that the new spinoff is aiming to release in Fall 2023.

“Ahsoka, yes, that’s probably going (to) come out in the fall. We’re going to have Haunted Mansion coming out in August,” revealed Dawson.

Screen Rant recently spoke with show creator Jon Favreau, who shared that the Ahsoka series is deep in post-production: “Well, the good news is there’s a whole Ahsoka show. I’ll talk about it so Dave doesn’t have to, but we’re in post-production. He’s done filming; the visual effects are starting to come in, and the music is starting to come in. Great cast, and what a rich legacy to build upon.”

Ahsoka cast

Rosario Dawson will play the titular character, reprising the role from her appearances in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo will also join the Star Wars universe by playing the role of Sabine Wren, a teenage Mandalorian who was a main cast member of the animated series Star Wars: Rebels, which also featured Ahsoka.

According to a rumor by Cinelinx, Eman Esfandi has been cast in the role of Ezra Bridger, the protagonist of Rebels.

Finally, Hayden Christensen himself has been confirmed to return in the role of Darth Vader following his recent appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

In addition to the main cast, Ivanna Sakhno, Ray Stevenson, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Ahsoka plot

No official plot has been released for the first season, but writer Dave Filioni has said that he wants Ahsoka to be more of a continuous story as opposed to the episodic nature of shows like the Mandalorian.

Ahsoka trailer

No trailer or early footage has been released for the Ahsoka series yet.

However, with the series now in post production, it likely won’t be long until we get something. Many fans assume that we will be getting a trailer at the Star Wars Celebration in April 2023.
