It’s Britney, b**ch – and on Netflix too! Her infamous movie, since dubbed “perfect” by fans, has stormed into the platform’s top 10 chart.
Is there anything Britney Spears can’t do? After a decades-long successful career, overcoming a life-changing conservatorship, and releasing a highly sought-after memoir, she still found time to star in her own movie.
While rumors of The Woman in Me – Spears’ memoir – being adapted into a film have been circling, nothing concrete has come out of the apparent bidding war, meaning bingeing her earlier work is the best that fans currently have.
Thankfully, that task has been made a lot easier thanks to Netflix, with Britney’s classic movie now available on the streaming platform, heading straight into the top 10 chart.
“Perfect” Britney Spears movie enters Netflix top 10
Britney Spears’ classic 2002 movie Crossroads – which has since been dubbed “perfect” by fans – is now available on Netflix, racing up the top 10 chart.
Additionally starring Zoe Saldana, Kim Cattrall, and Taryn Manning, the film follows three childhood friends, who reunite at graduation and decide to take a trip across the country. True to teen comedy-drama, their trip to rekindle their friendship is interrupted by a potentially dangerous guy.
“Rewatching #Crossroads for the first time in 22 years and wow it’s still so good!!!!,” one fan posted on X/Twitter in response to the film’s release on Netflix. “Britney, Zoe, and Taryn were perfect together. ‘I Love Rock and Roll’ had such a chokehold on 7th grade me.”

“Everybody stop what you’re doing! Crossroads starring Britney has come onto Netflix!” a second added, with a third agreeing: “Just watched #Crossroads for the first time in decades … happy Netflix added it! Soooo nostalgic! Also, breaks my heart just seeing how happy Britney used to be.”
The streaming platform even released some exclusive behind-the-scenes clips from filming, which you can see below:
While the movie doesn’t have the best Rotten Tomatoes rating, Rolling Stone has cited the movie as a “lost classic,” with Roger Ebert weighing in on how it has helped to shape our feelings about Spears over time.
Even so, Britney’s performance was highly praised, with Crossroads earning $61.1 million at the worldwide box office on a $10‒12 million budget.
The current Netflix top 10 chart is as follows:

- Lover, Stalker, Killer
