Among some of the wild theories abut Deadpool 3, one centers around Ryan Reynold’s wife, Blake Lively, playing a version of himself.
Deadpool & Wolverine, aka Deadpool 3, has completely taken over the internet with the trailer being watched over 300 million times in just one day.
The first trailer gave fans a look at what the movie will be about from seemingly dead characters coming back to life to the return of a long lost X-Men character.
However, one of the biggest talking points of the trailer has to be with the idea that fans will get to see some Deadpool variants running around the film and one of those variants could be played by star Ryan Reynolds real life wife Blake Lively.
Lively may have taken the Deadpool mantle from Reynolds
Some eagle-eyed fans spotted a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it shot of what looks to be another Deadpool shooting off two machine guns.
When the moment is paused, you can see that this new Deadpool is wearing different gloves than the one Reynolds’ version always wears and the person is using a weapon Reynolds’ Deadpool never uses as he prefers to use Glock 40’s when murdering his enemies.
So, this led a lot of fans to believe that the person holding the machine guns is none other than Lady Deadpool or Wanda Wilson, the female version of the assassin and an original member of the inter-dimensional Deadpool Corps.

As Lady Deadpool can be seen sporting blonde hair in the comics, a lot of fans started theorizing that Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively, who is a seasoned actor, could be the person behind the mask.
And that rumor only seemed to get more traction as Reynolds posted a photo of himself standing next to a still from the Deadpool 3 trailer with the caption, “Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer? Also has anyone seen my wife?”
While some took this to be a joke as Lively was attending the Super Bowl when the trailer dropped, it could be Reynolds’ way of letting Deadpool fans know that Lively will be in the film as the female version of himself.
This wouldn’t be the first time the pair has appeared in a super hero movie that Reynolds starred in as they both appeared in Green Lantern, where Reynolds played the lead and Lively played his love interest.
Fans can see Reynolds and (maybe) Lively when Deadpool and Wolverine smashes into theaters on July 26, 2024.
