The sands of time have finally brought Dune: Part Two to our screens – but is there a post-credits scene in Dune 2?
After Alejandro Jodorowsky’s extraordinary failure to condense Dune into a feasible motion picture and David Lynch’s notorious ’80s disasterpiece, many believed Frank Herbert’s tome was unadaptable.
Denis Villeneuve proved the naysayers wrong in 2021, managing to transform the first half of the book into a comprehensive, epic feast for the eyes. After several delays, the action-packed sequel has just arrived in theaters.
After the movie comes to an end, you’ll likely be wondering if there’s a post-credits scene – well, here’s what you need to know.
Is there a Dune 2 post-credits scene?
Dune: Part Two does not have a post-credits scene.

This isn’t hugely surprising, given the first Dune didn’t have anything after the credits, nor is Denis Villeneuve known for post-credits stings. The MCU has conditioned us to expect something, anything – but on this occasion, you only need to sit in your seat during the credits if you want to listen to Hans Zimmer’s amazing score (a pretty good reason, if you ask us).
That said, a tease for what’s to come wouldn’t be out of place, given its shocking conclusion sets up Dune: Messiah. No spoilers here, but you can check out our breakdown of the ending here.
While its “faux-resolution” may be frustrating, our review also called it “a screen-quaking cinematic landmark that should hold the future of blockbuster filmmaking accountable; imperfect, cold, but mighty.”
