Sonic the Hedgehog 3 rumors have claimed that Darth Vader himself, Hayden Christensen, is set to reprise his role as a villian by playing Shadow in the upcoming Sonic 3 movie.
Sonic’s live-action movies have unleashed a whole new lease of life into SEGA’s mammoth game franchise. The first two smashed it at the box office and received high critical acclaim for both films.
However, many of the talking points since the second Sonic dropped have been centered around the highly-anticipated arrival of Shadow, who shocked fans when they appeared briefly during an omnious post-credits scene.
With there not being a wealth of plot details given and no official trailers being released, fans have been in a frenzy online wondering what will happen in Sonic 3 and who exactly will voice Shadow.
Various actors have been tipped to play the classic role, with Keanu Reeves, Nicolas Cage, Aaron Paul, Adam Driver and even the original voice-actor Jason Griffith being frontrunners.
However, it has now been reported that Anakin Skywalker himself, Hayden Christensen, will allegedly voice Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic 3.

Sonic 3’s Shadow claimed to be voiced by Hayden Christensen
Hayden Christensen, who also played Darth Vader, is set to play another iconic villain: Shadow, in Sonic 3, as per Physical Media President.
It has also been reported by Richtman that Paramount Pictures is also planning a spin-off to the upcoming Sonic movie, focusing on Shadow. They have stated that it is allegedly unknown whether it will be a movie, series, prequel or sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Many fans have rallied behind the rumored appointment, calling him “Darth Shadow,” as one stated: “I mean, now that I know who he is, I’m not complaining.” Another simply said: “This is what the people need!”
Despite some others claiming that Shadow should have been voiced by different actors, the general consensus online has been positive: “I was hoping for Keanu Reeves but…Hayden isn’t bad!”
It has not yet been confirmed by Paramount Pictures who will officially play Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, so take this with a grain of salt. But, with Richtman’s impressive record and if the leak holds true, it could be announced sooner rather than later.
