It’s been confirmed The Young Sheldon finale will include physical cameos from Big Bang Theory stars Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik.
On release, The Big Bang Theory became an instant classic. The series, which debuted in 2007, ran for 12 seasons before it eventually ended in 2019.
As well as amassing massive viewership numbers, The Big Bang Theory was also a critical success, the show winning 10 Primetime Emmys over the course of its run and both Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik winning individual Emmys for their performances across the show.
In light of its success, a spin-off series called Young Sheldon was developed by the network and serves as a prequel to the original Big Bang Theory show. Following the childhood of Parsons’s beloved Sheldon Cooper and drawing the curtain back on his family and early life.
The spin-off premiered in 2017 and after seven seasons will also be coming to an end. And while Young Sheldon has managed to become widely popular without the presence of the original Big Bang Theory cast, it has now been confirmed that two stars from the original series will return for the series finale of Young Sheldon.

That’s right folks! Both Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik have been confirmed to be returning to the world of the Big Bang, Variety reporting that the two actors will once again portray Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler.
While it is unclear what role the two will play, and how the timelines may sycn up, it has been revealed that the two will appear physically on the show and not just make a small voice cameo.
The finale episode of Young Sheldon is set to drop on May 16, 2024.
