Though Taylor Swifts’ Era Tour concert movie outsold Killers of the Flower Moon domestically, the latter outsold worldwide at the box office.
Despite the now ended writers’ strike and ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, a ton of cool movies made their way to theaters in recent weeks.
Two of the biggest releases in October were undoubtedly Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour concert movie and Martin Scorsese’s crime epic Killers of the Flower Moon.
As these are two highly anticipated films, a lot of movie-goers believe that they would engage in a box office war of sorts. And, while Taylor Swift took the top spot for a while, Killers of the Flower Moon has now caught up.
Killers of the Flower Moon beats Eras Tour internationally
According to Variety, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert movie is dominating Killers of the Flower Moon in the domestic box office as it made $23 million compared to Swift’s $32 million during the Eras Tour’s second weekend.
However, when it came to the global box office, Killers of the Flower Moon made about $21 million while the Eras Tour made about $10 million.

It’s pretty impressive to have Scorsese’s grizzly and heartbreaking three hour film come out ahead of Swift’s bubblegum pop fantasy, but it’ll be hard for Killers of the Flower Moon to usurp Swift’s global box office total of $164.78 million.
Adapted from David Grann’s 2017 novel of the same name, Killers of the Flower Moon tells the story of the mysterious murders that took place after major oil deposits were discovered on the Osage nation’s land in the early 1920s, as well as the newly formed FBI’s investigation of the crimes.
Killers of the Flower Moon has already been a massive success as it’s currently sitting at a 92% with critics and 85% with audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
