MrBeast is believed to be closing a deal worth $100 million for his first TV show on streaming – and it’ll premiere on YouTube first.
MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is one of the most prolific, well-known content creators on the face of the planet. He rose to fame with simple gambits and challenges: counting to 100,000, donating money to random streamers and homeless people, and giving away cars.
Now, he has more than 233 million subscribers, and his last videos have included treating deafness and blindness for 1,000 people, surviving 50 hours in Antarctica, building 100 water wells in Africa, and a cash prize of $500,000… if the person could protect it.
Over the past month, his videos have amassed more than 310 million views, all monetized via YouTube (and recently, X/Twitter). Soon, it seems he’ll make his streaming debut.
MrBeast closing $100m deal with Prime Video
Prime Video is said to have green-lit a new TV show with MrBeast, with the creator’s deal estimated to be worth $100 million.
This comes via Puck News. “I’ve learned that Amazon Studios is now closing a deal for a MrBeast television show,” Matthew Belloni wrote in his newsletter.

“When his team took the show out to the streamers last week, it made sense that Amazon’s Jen Salke, who is looking for more populist entertainment, emerged victorious. One source pegs the deal, if it closes, at nearly $100 million, though that’s not confirmed. (Amazon declined to comment).”
According to Belloni, it’ll be a competition show of some form, but we don’t have any details about what shape the episodes could take or how much money will be up for grabs. What we do know is that the first episode will premiere on YouTube before dropping on Prime Video in a hopeful transfer of viewers to the platform.
This would be a huge acquisition for Amazon – but what about Netflix? It’s the most dominant streamer in the current landscape, so why wouldn’t MrBeast take his pitch there? Well, lest we forget the success of Squid Game: The Challenge, the reality TV adaptation of Netflix’s biggest show ever – which followed in the footsteps of MrBeast’s real-life version.
“I’m not involved. Kind of funny because I learned so much from my filming of this and I probably could have helped them immensely (and would have done it for free haha),” he earlier wrote.
MrBeast’s new TV show doesn’t have a release window right now.
