September has arrived, which means a whole batch of new Netflix content is coming your way – so, here’s all the new movies, TV shows, and documentaries coming to Netflix in September 2023.
Password sharing might be over, and actors and writers have been striking against AI and calling for fairer pay, but that hasn’t stopped millions of viewers tuning in to Netflix. August delivered some whoppers: Heartstopper returned with its delightful second season; Painkiller brought the drama with a shocking true life story; and the anticipated One Piece live-action series finally arrived.
Meanwhile, Suits continues to break all kinds of streaming records, while documentaries like Untold: Jake Paul the Problem Child and Depp v Heard have had viewers gripped.
As always, there’s plenty more where that came from – so, here’s a rundown of all of the movies, TV shows, and what’s next for Netflix in September 2023.

Netflix’s hit romantic drama series Virgin River is back with the first half of its fifth season, which promises to feature “surprising new relationships, a shocking break-up, a difficult court trial, a heartbreaking goodbye, and a wildfire that threatens the town, bringing some residents of Virgin River together while tearing others apart.”

Love at First Sight – September 15
Love is clearly in the air on Netflix this September, as one of its most anticipated movies of the month is Love at First Sight, a romantic drama about strangers Hadley and Oliver, who begin to fall for each other on their flight from New York to London. Sex Education, Season 4 – September 21
From love to sex, the fourth and final chapter of Netflix’s hit British school comedy Sex Education is set to arrive this September. Who Killed Jill Dando? – September 26
Set to be a poignant watch, Who Killed Jill Dando? is a three-part documentary series examining the shocking murder of Jill Dando, an English journalist, TV presenter, and newsreader who was shot and killed on the doorstep of her London home in 1999.
