The Solo Leveling anime is already a contender for the runaway hit of 2024. Now that the show has premiered, we can tell you everything you need to know about Sung Jin-woo’s journey.
Solo Leveling is an incredibly popular manwha, or Korean comic, that already had a large audience worldwide before being adapted. The base story follows a low-level hunter, Sung Jin-woo, who becomes the protagnist after surviving a particularly harrowing dungeon.
Snowballing off of the manhwa’s success, A-1 Studios took it upon themselves to make the story into an anime. This is the same studio responsible for Black Butler II, Sword Art Online, and even Kaguya-sama Love is War, so we knw it was going to be good. Here’s everything you should know about Solo Leveling.

Solo Leveling Plot
Solo Leveling follows the hero Sung Jin-woo, an E-class hero who earns the ability to improve his powers after being saved from death in a mysterious dungeon. He’s the only one who has this ability, in a world where fantasy creatures are invading our universe through portals.
Korean manhwa has a trope of video gaming in real life, a little similar to the progression system present in the Isekai Japanese anime genre. But instead of being sent to another world, their original world is one where video game logic just kind of makes sense. And for Solo Leveling, they exist in a universe where these warriors are called hunters.
Solo Leveling Reviews
