Ahsoka will be the newest addition to the Star Wars collection on Disney+, joining the ranks of Andor, and The Mandalorian.
The show will follow the titular character on brand new adventures, following her appearances in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
The character, who was originally introduced in the Star Wars animated series and film, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is a fan-favorite. As a result, many Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating the premiere of Ahsoka.

Ahsoka release date: When does it come out?
Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
The show was announced in 2020 as part Disney’s Star Wars spin-off series including The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. This collection of shows is supposed to end with the “climactic story event” that is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, which takes place in the same timeline as Ahsoka and The Mandalorian.
Ahsoka was developed by Jon Favreau, who created The Mandalorian, and Dave Filoni, who co-created the created for the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Filoni also wrote the entire series and served as its lead producer.

Dawson is already a Star Wars veteran as she played Ahsoka in the second season of The Mandalorian. The other Star Wars alumni include Christensen, O’Reilly, Steveson, Inosanto, and Mikkelsen.
Unfortunately, Steveson passed away on May 21, 2023, just four days before his 59th birthday. While no cause of death has ever been given, he was reportedly hospitalized while on set filming Cassino in Ischia in Italy before he passed. Ahsoka will be one of three projects that will be released posthumous.
