Sadie Sink has revealed who she thinks Vecna would target next ahead of the Stranger Things Season 4 finale.
This Friday, July 2, Volume 2 of Stranger Things’ fourth season will finally arrive on Netflix. The first batch of episodes teased a major showdown in the pipeline, with Nancy possessed by Vecna and Steve, Robin, Eddie, and the others plotting a rescue mission.
We also watched Eleven try to recover her superhuman powers by reuniting with Dr. Brenner, who submerged her in a tank which allowed her to re-live her most traumatic memories. There, we learned more about the shocking origins of the show’s biggest bad yet.
Sink, who plays Max, had an already-iconic brush with Vecna in Volume 1. While her character’s future remains uncertain, she’s among the most qualified to ponder who the slimy, eye-pinching villain would go after next.

“I would say, I mean, Eleven is kind of an easy target, and so is Will, but I feel like Will has already been possessed, and I feel like Eleven is impossible to possess.
“So, besides them, maybe Joyce? Joyce has been through a lot. I worry about her sometimes, but yeah, I would probably say Joyce or Hopper, maybe.”
Sadie Sink on what happens to Max in Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2
Sink said Max will have to make “some really brave choices” in the finale. “She has already, but I think she has to really step up and be braver than she’s ever been before,” she continued.
“So, that was a nice side of her to see; taking charge of her own life, her own fate and kind of taking a stand, which she’s always been good at, but this is to the extreme.
“So, it’s nice to see that fiercer side of her, which we caught kind of a glimpse of through the last bit of Episode 4 when she’s choosing to fight. So I guess just a little bit more of that.”
