Tell Me Lies Season 2 just aired its eighth episode, and it was a shocking chapter for Stephen, Lucy, and co – so, should fans expect to tune into Hulu and Disney Plus for Episode 9 next week?
Based on Carola Lovering’s novel, Tell Me Lies revolves around two people, Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White), and their turbulent, toxic relationship.
The binge-worthy show’s first season ended with one hell of a bombshell. We saw Stephen ditch Lucy at a college party with his ex-girlfriend Diana (Alicia Crowder) – however, in the present, we found out he was engaged to her childhood best friend, Lydia (Natalee Linez).
As expected, Tell Me Lies Season 2 has delivered on drama, especially after Episode 8. However, it feels like there’s story left to tell, so when is Episode 9 coming out?
Is there a Tell Me Lies Episode 9?
There won’t be a Tell Me Lies Episode 9, because Season 2 ended with Episode 8 – titled ‘Don’t Struggle Like That, Or I Will Only Love You More’ – which premiered on Hulu and Disney Plus on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
If you still haven’t caught up with the finale, it should be available to stream now wherever you are in the world, and you can check your time zone below:

With the series over (for now), you should check out what else is streaming on Disney Plus this month.
What happened in Episode 8?
Tell Me Lies Season 2’s finale was just as messy as you’d expect: Stephen and Diana broke up (thank god), and to illustrate what a POC he is, he slept with Lucy straight after!
Lucy isn’t a saint, though, because she pulled a Fiona from Shameless move: she went back to Leo and had sex with him without even changing her underwear. This came back to bite her, but she didn’t pay the price: when Leo found out, he punched Stephen’s face to a pulp (good!).
What about Bree, Olivier, and Marianne? After all, in the closing seconds of Episode 7, Marianne appeared in class with Bree’s earrings the morning after she had sex with Oliver. To the shock of nobody, Marianne knew all along, because she and Oliver are in an open relationship.
That’s not all. We finally found out what happened to Drew: after returning to the series, he overdosed and died on Wrigley’s couch (RIP).

And in one final twist of the knife, back in 2015 on Bree and Evan’s wedding day, Stephen sends her a recording of Evan confessing to sleeping with Lucy.

Where to watch Tell Me Lies
Tell Me Lies is available to stream exclusively on Hulu and Disney Plus.
If you want to watch it but don’t fancy committing your bank account to another direct debit – seriously, how many streaming services does one person need? – both platforms offer free trials. Set one up, binge it, and then cancel it (although I’m betting you forget and end up keeping it).
Will there be a Tell Me Lies Season 3?
Season 3 hasn’t been announced, but Tell Me Lies creator Meaghan Oppenheimer and the show’s producer want to continue the series after Season 2.
“I had more of Season 2 figured out from the beginning. Season 3 is definitely more uncharted territory,” Oppenheimer told DC Film Girl, adding: “There are a lot of ideas of what could happen.
“I think that certain characters definitely deserve justice that I think needs to happen if there’s a Season 3. I think there’s always more story to tell.”
In other words, we’ll just have to wait, hope, and see.
