Homelander has responded to Starlight’s “spurious allegations” in the latest episode of The Boys Season 3, branding her a “glory hound.”
Last week, viewers tuned in for one of the biggest pop culture events of the year: Herogasm, a massive orgy where superheroes cut loose for a weekend and get it on, using their powers to pleasure (and in the case of the normal sex workers, hurt) one another.
We saw The Deep penetrating an octopus, MM getting drenched in jizz, and one character using mind control on several women at once, if you’re catching my drift. The sexual stuff was just the tip of the dildo, though: the episode concluded with one of the show’s best fights, with Soldier Boy, Butcher, and Hughie taking on Homelander.
However, right before the episode ended, Starlight posted a scathing livestream targeting Vought and Homelander, and publicly resigned from The Seven.
Homelander calls Starlight a “glory hound” after The Boys Episode 6
In an in-universe statement released by Vought International, the villainous superhero organization at the center of The Boys, Homelander (Antony Starr) responded to Starlight’s (Erin Moriarty) social media post, saying that the accusations “in no way reflect Vought International as a whole” and the company would be fighting the “spurious allegations.”
“We can also confirm that [Annie January, her real name] has been terminated, and her status as co-captain of The Seven rescinded, effective immediately.
“January is a glory hound who became hysterical with rage after Homelander ended their relationship. Sadly, her crazed jealousy has boiled over into insurrectionist territory and has made a reconciliation impossible. We ultimately regret making January a member of The Seven.
“Our goal is, and always will be: the advancement of the American people and the expansion of liberty across the world.”

What did Starlight say after Herogasm in The Boys?
Shaken by the destruction of Herogasm and Homelander’s continual hold over her, Annie posts a livestream condemning him, as well as revealing that Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) is alive.
“Homelander and Vought are going to tell you that it was a supervillain and they have it handled – they don’t. It was Soldier Boy. I know I sound insane, but Soldier Boy doesn’t care about protecting Americans and he probably never has.
“Most heroes don’t care about you, they only care about their image, and Homelander is the worst of them. He’s hurt people, he’s done something to Maeve. I don’t know what they’re going to do to me for telling the truth, but I’m going to keep doing it and I should have done it sooner. I’m sorry.
“And one more thing: I’m not Starlight anymore. My name is Annie January, and I f**king quit.”
Episode 7 of The Boys Season 3 hits Prime Video on Friday, July 1.
