Clues are coming in thick and fast ahead of the Virgin River Season 6 release… and its episode titles might hold the biggest one yet.
Updates are finally rolling in for Virgin River Season 6. New episodes are likely to come out before 2024 is over and set spoilers confirm plotlines including a wedding, surrogacy, and brand new family members.
Now, the binge-worthy TV show has revealed its titles for all 10 episodes – yes, we’re getting 10 in Season 6 – in the build-up to its release, and one of them could hold a huge clue that ties into Season 5 Part 2’s ending.
If you haven’t caught up yet, Season 5 ended with Mel’s biological father Everett turning up on her doorstep to say he had something important to tell her. Trouble is, we have no idea what he’s going to say.
The episode titles for Virgin River Season 6 are:
- ‘Brothers & Sisters’
- ‘Ghosts’
- ‘Going Overboard’
- ‘Hope Springs Eternal’
- ‘I Climbed a Mountain and I Turned Around’
- ‘Love Story’
- ‘Prelude to a Kiss’
- ‘The Big Day’
- ‘The Broken Places’
- ‘The Jury’s Out’
Though we don’t know if this is the order they’ll be released in, ‘Brothers & Sisters’ could likely tie into Everett’s big reveal.
One of the most popular fan theories for Virgin River Season 6 is that Everett will tell Mel that she has a brother or sister she isn’t aware of, growing her family unit as she tries again to become a mother.
“Please god not let him be also Charmaine’s Dad,” one fan posted on Reddit, while a second weighed in, “I think he’s Vernon’s estranged brother. The hair is too similar to be a coincidence!! But I am loving the Charmaine theory.”

But that’s not the only interesting part of these titles. There’s a clear link to country and folk songs that tease breakups and new unions.
For example, ‘I Climbed a Mountain and I Turned Around’ is a lyric from Stevie Nicks’ ‘Landslide’, a song about her parting ways with old flame Lindsay Buckingham.
We also see a potential nod to ‘Love Story’ which could signal one lucky couple – most likely Mel and Jack – tying the knot. As Taylor Swift once sang, “It’s a love story, baby just say yes.”
Back in May, it was revealed that the Virgin River cast was filming on a paddle steamer for supposed nuptials, igniting speculation about Jack and Mel’s wedding.
Filming allegedly wrapped for Season 6 episodes back in June.
