Years after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox and its roster of heroes (as well as its rogues gallery), we’ll soon see Deadpool tangle with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The first official trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine was dropped at the 2024 Super Bowl. The footage, which lasted just shy of two and a half minutes, revealed just how closely connected the anti-hero will now be to the greater MCU.
Throughout the trailer, Deadpool calls himself “Marvel Jesus”, references Disney and is even tracked down by the TVA. An organization that has only appeared in the Loki TV series.
And while the film promises to include cameos from various other Marvel characters from the live-action universe, the film will still introduce beloved comic characters into the MCU for the first time ever.
