With plenty of plot points left to wrap up, what will happen in the finale of Young Sheldon Season 7? Some fans think they already have the answer.
Young Sheldon Season 7: What happens in the finale?
Though nothing is officially confirmed, the Young Sheldon Season 7 finale is likely to tackle George’s death in a big way — and fans have strong opinions.
Over the course of the total 14 episodes, there’s a lot of ground to cover, with some storylines such as George Cooper’s impending death set to take up a lot of air time. Trouble is, we’re still not sure how anything will actually be addressed.
“Sheldon returns from Germany, gets accepted, and decides to go to CalTech. Georgie becomes the manager at Mandy’s dad’s shop. Not sure on an ending for Missy,” one fan guesses. “The final show is based around Sheldon’s preparing to leave. George is still alive, but his death is covered in an end-of-show monologue. It would be too dark of an ending normally, but I think the existence of the family’s future on TBBT provides the future hopefulness.”

“I hope it will end with adult Sheldon with his friends eating on the couch and it reveals to us that the entire show was Sheldon telling his friends about his childhood,” a second weighed in, with a third adding “I want them all together- with George alive. We can learn of his death in a voice over but I don’t want to experience it.”
There is still a huge question mark surrounding the handling of George’s death, with executive producer Steve Holland telling TV Line “I don’t want to say what you will or won’t see, but things will get addressed. We are not beholden to every joke that was ever made on The Big Bang Theory, but we do feel beholden to the larger canon and the larger events that shape Sheldon’s life. We want to honor those.”
For others, all of the potential drama is a little too much, with one fan pleading “I want a happy and normal ending. That’s it. The vibe of the show was so good when none of the drama was happening.”
