Kai Cenat is looking to reclaim the throne. Mafiathon 2 is now underway as the Twitch superstar looks to get the record back for the platform’s all-time concurrent subscriber peak.
While he was dethroned from the top spot in October 2024, as VTuber IronMouse took the top spot, Cenat quickly announced his plans to strike back. Mafiathon 2 was announced on October 30 with plans to broadcast live through the month of November, 2024.
Now that the stream is underway, there’s plenty happening including celebrity appearances and all sorts of wild shenanigans. So read on to keep on top of all the latest antics as the marathon stream continues.
How long has Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 been going?
Mafiathon 2 is currently in the midst of Day 3, with Cenat having been live for over 50 straight hours already. The marathon stream has racked up over 160,000 Twitch subs thus far, with more constantly streaming in.
Kai Cenat’s ultimate goal with this subathon is to overtake Ironmouse’s all-time Twitch sub record to regain his place as the must-subscribed Twitch streamer.
Kai Cenat gets swatted and surrounded by police
The start of Mafiathon 2 was marred by a swatting incident. Just one day into the broadcast, Cenat was swatted and subsequently banned on Twitch.
Cameras showed helicopters circling his home as police rushed in to investigate a call.
Moments after sharing footage of the police helicopter circling his location, Cenat’s account was struck off Twitch. The streaming platform banned him in the middle of Mafiathon 2 due to the swatting incident, though the punishment was quickly overturned.
While it did interrupt the continuous broadcast, Cenat was back in front of the cameras in no time.
He soon crossed the 140K sub mark when he returned to Twitch, as viewers were clearly supportive of his return. However, as a result of the ban, the VOD from the first day of the broadcast is no longer available, at least not directly on Twitch.

Miles Morales NPC drops by
Retiring to bed at the end of Day 1, Cenat enlisted the help of TikTok star Miles Morales NPC to shout out subscribers while he got some shuteye, but not before the pair performed an NPC exchange.
KaiCarly Miranda Cosgrove guest appearance
Day 1 of the event also saw actor Miranda Cosgrove make a guest appearance in a segment dubbed KaiCarly, ushered in with its own bespoke opening sequence riffing on late ’90s and early noughties Disney Channel shows.
Streaming for charity
On November 1, Cenat announced that 20% of all revenue generated by the event would be going to charity. Specifically, the funds will be going toward building a school in Makoko, an informal settlement on the coast of Lagos, Nigeria.
“We will be going out-of-pocket funding this entire project with a full staff, classrooms, uniforms, etc. 20% of November, starting tomorrow,” Cenat said at the time.
Snoop Dogg checks in
A few weeks after linking up at the VMAs, Snoop Dogg and Cenat look to be planning something proper on stream. Snoop called the Twitch star on Day 2 of the broadcast, teasing his next album and ways to promote it.
One idea is to recreate the magic of the Kevin Hart sleepover stream. If it comes to fruition, Snoop and Cenat could be live on Twitch together in December.
A live wedding
Keeping up the antics, Cenat hosted a ‘wedding’ of sorts on Day 2 of the stream, officiating as more than 100,000 fans watched on live. Obviously not a legitimate marriage, things soon got out of hand as the ‘groom’ confessed his ‘love’ for someone other than the bride.
For now, that’s all the latest with Mafiathon 2. But as the stream is still just in its early days, with plenty more planned for the coming weeks, be sure to check back often as we’ll keep you posted on all the crazy highlights.
