Riot Games have revealed the venue for the 2024 Valorant Champions Tour. For the first time in the tournament’s history, it’s headed to Seoul in South Korea.
The new Valorant esports season is underway, and along with it comes an answer to the question every fan has been asking. Where will 2024’s VCT be held?
The first VCT took place in 2021, in Berlin, Germany. 2022 saw players headed to Turkey and Istanbul. On the other hand, last year Los Angeles was the home of Valorant’s premier event.
But this year, South Korea will receive the honor, with the 2024 VCT’s running from August 1 through 24, in the city of Seoul.
“It’s my pleasure to officially announce that Champions 2024 will be held here, in Seoul South Korea,” Jake Sin, Head of Valorant Esports APAC, said while addressing the press during the opening of today’s VCT Pacific Kickoff tournament.
There have been some changes ahead of the new season of Valorant, with Riot bringing back the championship point system. That means, teams will need to earn their way there. Teams will first compete in the League Kickoff events for their regions, like the APAC event, happening now.

Kickoff winners will get the chance to compete in the first international event of the season. Valorant Masters Madrid next month, in March.
After Masters Madrid, teams will play through Stage 1, which culminates in the next major international LAN, Masters Shanghai, scheduled for May.
After Shanghai, playing through Stage 2 of the season will bring teams even closer to Seoul.
But here’s where the competition will really get fierce. As teams face off to secure one of the limited slots for VCT Seoul.
