Despite losing to LOUD 0-2 earlier in the VCT Americas Kickoff, Sentinels absolutely trounced LOUD in the Grand Finals with a 3-2 win in what is a massive resurgence for the once-great Valorant org. Sentinels are so back.
Though Sentinels are one of the most popular Valorant orgs in the world, they haven’t had the most success since the 2021 run that put them on the map.
While TenZ has stuck around as a fan-favorite player (and was willing to speak with Dexerto after their prior win over NRG), Sentinels have struggled to find a roster that could replicate the lightning in a bottle they captured with their original roster.
However, with some time, effort, and a new IGL in the form of johnqt, Sentinels have finally found their roster. After years of struggling, they’ve had a massive comeback with a 3-2 win over LOUD in the VCT Americas Kickoff Grand Finals.
Sentinels crush LOUD to take over VCT Americas
Sentinels have only been gaining momentum as the VCT Americas Kickoff has gone on. From losing to LOUD initially to winning every other set after, they’ve gone from a shaky opening to crushing the competition.

Their win over NRG was the crucial W to get to VCT Masters Madrid, with the Grand Final win being worth points, seeding, and bragging rights. That said, Sentinels have earned bragging rights and then some considering the way they won the last match of the set.
Despite Icebox and Bind looking a bit grim, Sentinels took Lotus with a one-sided win and completed their Grand Finals run in spectacular fashion. There’s no possible argument against SEN being the best team on the day, and the best team in the VCT Americas circuit currently.
It isn’t even like one player carried, either. Every player had some big moments in the series where they clutched rounds and made the right decisions under pressure.
If Sentinels can keep up this level of performance internationally, the other teams attending VCT Masters Madrid should be scared. Then again, LOUD didn’t make it easy either.
