Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek shocked the world when he announced he was making a team for the Valorant Champions Tour open qualifiers, and now the stacked lineup has been unveiled.
Since retiring as a professional CSGO player, Shroud has cemented his place as one of the premier names in the streaming world. However, long-term fans have always dreamt of the day he’ll return to the competitive scene, and that wish has finally been granted.
Shroud revealed that he was going to take part in the next North American open qualifier for the Valorant Champions Tour. He was just waiting for Valorant’s newest agent – KAY/O – to be available.
“I’ll go run around as KAY/O and silence things,” he said.
Now that the VCT open qualifiers are drawing closer, his team has been revealed. It’s got some familiar names, as well as some new ones. But the common denominator is that they’re all formidable players in their own right.
Here’s a list of them all:

It’s the first time Shroud is dipping back into the professional esports scene since 2017, and it’s set to be quite a spectacle for fans, regardless of how his team performs.
The next open qualifier kicks off on July 22nd and runs to July 25th. If successful in the qualifier, Shroud and his squad would move on to the Challengers 2 event which has a $50,000 prize pool.
