Riot Games teamed up with Twitch to create a Valorant charity stream that brought together 10 teams from across Europe as they battled it out for a $100,000 charity prize pool.

With First Strike well underway in many regions across the globe, Riot Games also chose to collaborate with Twitch to bring Valorant fans even more action by organizing a large scale charity event.
Valorant Spike Nations of Twitch was a three-day event that saw 10 teams from across Europe duke it out in order to win a prize of $100,000 USD for charity With plenty of popular streamers joining in on the fun, it was a jam-packed three-day competition.

The event kicked off on November 6 at 3 AM PT / 6 PM ET / 11 AM GMT / 12 PM CET and ran through until November 8. You can catch up on the event through the official Valorant twitch channel, which we’ve embedded below for your convenience.
Spike Nations of Twitch: Format
10 teams from across Europe were drafted into the charity steam, each of them captained by one of the Valorant community’s favorite streamers.
The teams were allocated into two groups of five, where a round-robin format determined the two top teams in that group. Those teams moved on to the semifinals, and the rest played out as you’d imagine.

With the event having kicked off on 6 November, teams first battled it out in order to qualify for the semifinals which took place on November 8. The grand finale was later that day, and it was then that one country became the Spike Nations champion.

The overall winners of the tournament were Team Portugal, whose dominant performance throughout the tournament left analysts and casters speechless. Taking on Team UK in the final, their performance was insane, with the UK not even taking one game in the best of 3.

While every country donated money to their chosen charity, Portugal walked away with a huge $37,614 for their chosen charity, the Portuguese Food Bank.
