After an intense 18 day race, Echo has claimed the world-first Mythic Jailer kill in World of Warcraft.
A new WoW patch means a new raid, and a new raid means that the best guilds around the world get to compete in the Race to World First. For WoW Shadowlands 9.2, that wasn’t any different.
Spearheaded by Europe’s Echo and North America’s Liquid since at least Battle for Azeroth’s release, the race finally came to a close on March 26, with Echo taking down Sepulcher of the First Ones’ final boss: The Jailer.
This is the European guild’s second World First of the Shadowlands expansion.

Although they started the race behind due to Liquid taking down what is now considered the hardest non-end bosses to date, Halondrus first, and later Anduin, Europe’s longstanding number one guild managed to claw themselves into the lead after they outplayed their North American counterparts with world-first kills onto Lords of Dread, Rygelon, and now The Jailer.
According to stats from WoWHead, Echo utilized a composition of six melee, seven ranged, five healers, and two tanks to take down Shadowlands’ final boss.
Echo were poised to take this race as not only did they outperform Liquid, but the North American guild also called it quits early, stating that they were burnt out.
Defeating the Jailer makes the European guild the undisputed best in the world for all of Shadowlands as after losing the Castle Nathria RWF to start the expansion, they’ve now managed to take both Sanctum of Domination and Sepulcher of the First Ones back to back.
