Does WoW Dragonflight have a release date?
Unfortunately, an official release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. Even after revealing the expansion, Blizzard kept their cards close to its chest about its release date. However, it’s expected to be somewhere between late 2022 and early 2023.

Features
New Area: Dragon Isles
In addition to the level cap increasing to 70, players will finally be able to explore all the sights and sounds in the ancient Dragon Isles.
It includes four new zones; Waking Shores; Ohn’ahran Plains; Azure Span, and Thaldraszus — all of which have a mysterious and unique look about them.
New Race and Class Combination
It wouldn’t be an expansion with a new race and class. In this instance, however, the two go hand in hand for the first time ever. WoW Dragonflight introduces a new race and class combination called Dracthyr Evoker.
It has both a humanoid and draconic form and can be specialized to be a healer or a ranged damage dealer. Naturally, this means there’s a lot of variety and versatility when it comes to choosing how to play it.

Dragonriding
The expansion also introduces a new form of aerial movement called Dragonriding. Players can hop on the back of a Dragon Isles Drake and venture into the skies above the mysterious land throughout their travels.
The Dragon Isles Drakes can also be customized in multiple ways, not only in terms of appearance but also in abilities allowing them to move more efficiently.
New Talent System
World of Warcraft’s talent system is also being overhauled in the expansion — or rather, being reverted to a more favorable format. Blizard replaced the original tree-like system in Mists of Pandaria to make it simpler.
However, the original version is coming back in Dragonflight. Essentially, when a player levels up, they’ll be able to put a talent point in a skill tree of their choice — either a class skill tree or a specialization skill tree.
The idea is that it will give players more customization to branch out the way they’d like to, as opposed to being limited for the sake of simplicity.
New Profession System
WoW Dragonflight is also introducing a new professional system that includes player-driven work orders, new profession equipment, and a brand new specialization system designed to give players more choice.
New HUD UI
Last but not least, the Heads Up Display (HUD) and User Interface (UI) are being overhauled to a design more fitting for 2022. Not only will it be more appealing and seamless, but it will also be more customizable.
