In news that will almost certainly disappoint some players, Dual Spec will not feature in World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery Phase Two, in any form.
As the first phase of Season of Discovery cooled off, players began speculating on the game’s future. As part of that, many made requests for what they would like to see. Many have been calling for specific class abilities that feature in later expansions.
Beyond those, quality-of-life and general improvements have been the order of the day. Chief among those is Dual Spec. Added into the game during Wrath of the Lich King, it essentially amounts to players being able to switch between two sets of talents, glyphs and action bars far more easily.
Unfortunately for some, the developers behind the game have confirmed there are no immediate plans for Dual Spec.

Though the news will come as a disappointment to many, the developer did not go as far as closing the door on Dual Spec entirely. When asked about the topic, Stone said it may appear “in future phases.” Expanding on the topic, Stone had this to say:
“There’s a lot of considerations going into this for us. If we do this, we see it as something that could potentially be a large gold sink. I do want everyone to know that we hear you and it is something that many of us want.”
With two further phases guaranteed in the future, players may yet see Dual Spec in Season of Discovery. With approximately three months between phases, however, it may be a while before it becomes a reality.
