World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery entered its second phase on February 8, and a lot has changed since. As with every flavor of the MMO, PvP is a big part of the experience, but not everyone is happy with the current landscape.
For those who aren’t aware, the latest seasonal World of Warcraft offering changed much about how the Classic version of the game functions. Players have access to additional powers via the Rune Engraving system, and each class is considerably more powerful.
As a result, it is more difficult to balance the game between classes and the world of Azeroth at large. Though the developer has done an admirable job in PvE environments, it has been tough to achieve the same success in PvP.
Now, players are sharing their thoughts on the current situation, and many are not happy.
WoW players feel Season of Discovery PvP encounters are too short
In a post on Reddit, one user shared their belief that the majority of classes are able to one-shot and it’s having a detrimental effect on PvP in the game.
Many were quick to agree with the OP, and were keen to point out possible causes and solutions.

One said: “Something to also consider is that MOST people are not geared towards stamina which is the most important stat in PvP. My priest who was in near full BiS p1 got over 700 hp from just buying “of the eagle” gear for his PvP set. Almost everyone is running around with tons of offensive stat min max from BFD.”
Another added: “Yes, they should do something across the board. Otherwise, they will fix Starsurge and something else will come up.
Others felt more stamina gear was needed across the board. One said: “It is what it is. Need stamina on gear pieces pretty bad. I’ve walked away from Korean PvP MMO’s whenever the Time To Kill (TTK) ended up being sub 2s and kinda looks like SOD is fast approaching that.”
Whatever the case may be, the equation is being further muddied by the Blood Moon PvP event. With the additional health, it offers mitigating worries in that area, it has left more general World PvP to one side. With plenty of time to go before the game’s third phase, there is still plenty of time for Blizzard to address PvP.
