IShowSpeed’s editor has responded to rumors that the streamer might be moving back to Twitch following his temporary ban from YouTube on his main channel.
On August 5, IShowSpeed’s main YouTube channel was hit with a temporary ban, receiving a Community Guidelines strike after the streamer filmed himself jumping over two oncoming supercars in a death-defying viral stunt.
Speed’s editor, who goes by the name ‘slipz’ on Twitter/X, posted a screenshot of the channel violation on social media. He’s currently pleading with YouTube to reverse the ban, which sources claim will last around two weeks.
Given the length of the suspension, which comes hot on the heels of Speed’s hugely successful trip across Europe, some viewers were curious to see if he’d be making the switch back to Twitch in the interim.
In fact, this claim began spreading across Twitter as if it were definite — but Speed’s own editor, who goes by ‘slipz,’ has refuted the rumors.
It seems that this discussion was sparked by spliz’s response to a fan writing, “Twitch time.”
“At this point, it wouldn’t hurt,” he said.

However, Slipz himself asked for a “source” on the Twitch rumors once they began to spread. When a fan pointed out his response above, he replied: “Where does this claim Speed is considering a move to Twitch?”
Speed himself has made no official claims that he plans to broadcast on Twitch. In a post on his alternate Twitter account, the streamer wrote that he is currently “recharging” his batteries.
Although Speed was permanently banned from Twitch in 2021, this decision was reversed in October 2023, nearly two years later.
This means that he could potentially move his streams back to Twitch if he wanted to, but given that his audience resides primarily on YouTube, this possible shift doesn’t seem likely.
For now, Speed is taking a break from broadcasting as he awaits the reinstatement of his YouTube channel, where he has plans to stream his trip to Southeast Asia in September.
