Polish Olympic runner Ewa Swoboda invited IShowSpeed to race her after he claimed “nobody in the world” could beat him.
A three-time European Indoor Championships medallist, Ewa Swoboda has already taken home a gold medal in the 60-meter race as well as two silvers.
The Polish track and field sprinter specializes in short distances and competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Though she made it through the first round of the women’s 100 meters, the 27-year-old failed to make the final.
Nonetheless, YouTube star IShowSpeed was encouraged to take on Swoboda and race her if he ever returned to Poland, with a fan telling the streamer she was “one of the fastest girls in the world”.
Initially joking that he would rather get Swoboda’s number than race her, IShowSpeed then insisted that “nobody in the world” could beat him.
“I’m being dead-ass,” the YouTuber said, before claiming that at “no point in [his] life” had he ever lost a race. “That’s why people call me Speed.”

Swoboda soon got wind of Speed’s confidence in beating her, describing him as “some YouTuber” who would occasionally appear on her Instagram feed.
After calling her mom and dad to “brag” about a new tattoo of the Olympic rings, Swoboda was informed about IShowSpeed’s claims. And she isn’t opposed to the challenge.
“If he comes to Poland and he competes in the RMF FM radio contest, maybe I’ll run with him,” Swoboda said, doubting Speed would do so as he had “already been” to the country.
Despite believing that the “chances are slim”, Swoboda shared that winners of the RMF FM contest would be racing 100 meters with the Olympic runner on August 24 at the Silesian Stadium: “So maybe he still has time to sign up.”
IShowSpeed has since responded to the call. The full details can be viewed in Dexerto’s follow-up article here.
