Popular British YouTuber Yung Filly, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is facing court in Australia after being charged with sexual assault while touring the country.
Barrientos has been charged with four counts of sexual engagement without consent, three counts of assault involving bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation.
The 29-year-old social media celebrity has been on tour around Australia as he performs his own music and DJs at local nightclubs. Allegations stem from his September 27 show at Bar1 Nightclub in Perth.
A woman in her 20s reported to Western Australia Police that she had been sexually assaulted in Barrientos’ hotel room hours after the show.
A news report on Today Perth shows footage of Yung Filly being escorted by authorities after being extradited to Western Australia.
Barrientos gets released on bail
Amid the charges, Barrientos has been extradited from Queensland to Perth in order to appear at the Perth Magistrates Court on October 10 where his lawyer successfully argued for bail.
While the police opposed his request to be released from custody, claiming CCTV and photo evidence supported an “extremely strong” prosecution case, ABC News reported.
WA police prosecutor Julius Depetro said Mr Barrientos had access to large amounts of cash from his media account revenue, generating $700,000 from his YouTube and TikTok accounts alone.
“There is no guarantee given [his] significant means we will be able to bring him back to face these charges,” Mr Depetro said.

Magistrate Tanya Watt disagreed that Barrientos’s risk of fleeing the state and the potential to interfere with witnesses could not be managed.
She granted him bail but imposed strict conditions that included a ban on contacting his alleged victim or posting on social media about the case to his millions of followers.
He must also stay in Western Australia, report daily to the police, and post a personal $100,000 cash surety.
Barrientos had seven dates on his Australia 2024 tour, with his Bar1 show in Perth kicking it all off on September 27.
