A popular Indian YouTuber has been arrested for placing various objects on railway tracks for content, thereby endangering the lives of passengers.
Gulshan Sheikh, who goes by ‘Gulzar Indian Hacker‘ on YouTube, has over 237,000 subscribers and posts stunts on railway tracks under the guise of “experiments”.
This has included leaving bicycles, cylinders, and various other objects on the tracks, before filming and posting what happens when they are hit by a train. At one point, even a chicken was placed on the tracks, though it is unclear if it was actually hit.
However, after a complaint was made against Sheikh on X (formerly Twitter), the YouTuber was apprehended at his home in Khandrauli, Uttar Pradesh.
X account ‘trainwalebhaiya‘ took to the social media platform in a bid to force local police into taking “quick action”, stating Sheikh was “putting [the] lives of [thousands] of passengers in danger.”
The official TeamYouTube account responded, stating they would pass the information on to “relevant teams” as other commenters labeled Sheikh’s actions as “shameful” and “brainless”.

Many also called for the Uttar Pradesh Police to intervene before Sheikh had time to remove content. However, the account currently only shows three videos and two shorts, despite a previous screenshot on X showing a surplus of content. It is unknown whether Sheikh removed the videos himself or if YouTube stepped in.
One user on X suggested Sheikh’s videos had been edited as “every time there is a jump cut after he places the object”, theorizing the YouTuber was “just throwing it to the side” afterward as the impact with the train was “never” seen on camera.
However, the original poster of the complaint argued there were “tons of videos which [have the] train hitting objects”. Moreover, they added that a bigger issue arose from Sheikh’s content whether it was fake or not, as it could potentially ‘inspire’ others to follow suit.
And others shared this concern: “He will inspire many to do such things for views and impressions.”
