The Apex Legends community show off some of the best cosplays around the net, but people might find it hard to come around an Octane design better than Erin Ball’s outfit that’s a stunning reimagining of the Adrenaline Junkie.
Respawn Entertainment launched their thrilling battle royale on February 4 with a cast of unique characters. While Octane came a bit later as the game’s first addition, fans instantly loved the high-flying thrill seeker upon release.
Since then, the community has produced insane creations in artwork and more featuring the ninth legend that perfectly breathes new life into the Apex Games’ daredevil.
The crowning homage to Octane, however, might be in the form of Ball’s outfit design that dresses the double amputee in an insanely accurate cosplay from head to mechanical toe.
In collaboration with Henchmen Studios, Ball’s cosplay has everything from Octane’s fit stunningly recreated. Octane is known for his adrenaline-pumping acts which requires him to wear an intricate headdress featuring goggles and a mask among other things.
Ball’s design incorporates those elements while even showing off some detailed flare as she has Octane’s bold tattoo prominently recreated on her left arm.
But fans are sure to put their attention on the incredible prosthetics that were specially made for this cosplay. According to a report by EuroGamer, the people who put it together took measurements of Ball’s everyday sockets.

Then they used that to create a 3D model of the sockets and stilts that Ball’s cosplay would have, before looking to the game’s character design to bring the finishing touches to life.

The whole design process must have been difficult, but it definitely paid off seeing as Ball delivered one of the most astonishing takes to an Apex Legends character seen so far.
Apex Legends community knows how to make great cosplays
While Ball’s outfit certainly separates itself from other reimaginings in terms of quality and overall design, the Apex community have previously cooked up great cosplays for other legends.
Cosplayer ‘Kayyybear’ put on one of the best takes to popular combat medic Lifeline, that was so good that the CEO of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella even chimed in on the design.
There’s no shortage of creative cosplayers in the Apex Legends scene, and as the game develops there’s sure to be more incredible costumes to come.
