A game-breaking bug has been found in Apex Legends that allows the Mastiff shotgun to be fired rapidly, and now a developer from Respawn Entertainment has responded to the discovery.
It’s no secret that one of the biggest issues in Apex Legends has been the large number of bugs, glitches, and hacks that have plagued the game since its release.
While most of the bugs are minor and not overly consequential, there are some that are of game-breaking severity, have the potential to ruin players’ gaming experiences.
The most recent example of this is a glitch that is causing the Legendary Mastiff shotgun to be fired at an abnormally high rate.
This bug can be seen in action in the video below, posted by Reddit user ‘Gevorian’ on June 11. Click HERE to view the video on Streamable.
The Mastiff is one of two Legendary weapons in the game, and its devastating damage profile makes it a very powerful choice for players who are able to master its usage.
It’s already extremely dominant on its own, and having a bug that allows it to be rapidly fired just turns the user into a virtually unstoppable force.

Season 2 in Apex Legends
The developers will hope to find a fix for that Mastiff rapid fire bug as soon as possible, at least prior to the release of the highly anticipated second season of Apex Legends.
Season 2 is set to introduce the brand new Legend Wattson, a new weapon called the L-STAR, and possibly even dragon-like creatures that players can use to move around.
Season 2 will be called Battle Charge and is scheduled to go live on July 2, 2019.
