A Call of Duty leaker has revealed that a number of new variants will soon be making their way to Warzone – including a much asked for duos playlist and a few limited-time modes.
Since it was finally released on March 10, Call of Duty: Warzone has proven to be pretty popular with battle royale players – with over 30 million players dropping in for at least one match on the sprawling map.
Upon its release, Warzone only had a Trios mode available – though you could play solos and duos by changing the don’t fill option in the pre-game lobby. A recent update finally dropped a bonafide solos mode, but that hasn’t stopped fans asking for more – including fully-fledged duos and squads modes.
According to Call of Duty leaker Senescallo, their prayers could finally be answered when Modern Warfare enters its third season of content in April.
The reliable leaker, who revealed a number of details about Warzone prior to its release, claims that there is a duo and squad mode in the works – with the latter being called Quads, thus meaning there will be four players to a team.
Senescallo also claims that a number of other modes would be added as well, each with their own twist. High Action mode would see the gas close in quicker, Shotty Snipers would only have shotguns and snipers on the map, while One Shot would remove loadout drops and allow players to score shot headshots for kills.

These variants of the battle royale may sound like limited-time-only modes, but as the leaker didn’t drop any further information, it’s unknown whether or not this will be the case.
Senescallo also claimed that the battle royale would be adding a Hardcore and Realism mode, but again, there was no additional information.
The third season for Modern Warfare is set to kick off in early April, so we won’t have to wait long to if their claims are accurate or not.
