it will actually be Modern Warfare 4. All early signs have pointed towards the next part of the iconic Infinity Ward series, which hasn’t had a release since 2011.
A ton of ‘leaks’ and rumors have surfaced in the meantime, yet, Activision has remained vague about what they will be publishing – only teasing a return to game’s roots and a “game-changing” experience. Yet, they’ve finally let slip just when we will be able to see what they have for us.
When will Call of Duty 2019 be revealed?
During the company’s quarterly earnings call on May 2, Activision, again, walked back over old ground with their excitement about the next title and just how “game-changing” they believe that Infinity Ward’s new release will be.
However, there was also a somewhat firm confirmation of when we can expect to see an announcement about the next title. Activision revealed that the game will be revealed before the end of this financial quarter – which ends on June 30.
While there was no exact date announced, we know that we will be seeing the next installment of the iconic franchise sooner rather than later. Previous Infinity Ward releases have traditionally been announced towards the end of May, so while the long wait appears to be drawing to a close, there is still some time to go just yet.

Black Ops 4 will receive further content
While Activision was focused on reiterating some of the details they’ve already spoken about when it comes to the next game, they did also confirm that Black Ops 4 will not fall to the wayside anytime soon.
During the call, the publisher’s noted that Black Ops 4’s total hours played growing double digits year over year when compared to WWII and that new content, modes, and events will be released moving forward to “sustain reach and attract new users.”
It remains to be seen just what operations and further plans that Treyarch has up their sleeve.
