Early Modern Warfare Season One gameplay of the remade-version of Crash has surfaced, revealing major changes made to the iconic Call of Duty map.
When it comes to the most well-known maps in Call of Duty history, there are not many more recognizable than Crash, which debuted in the original CoD4: Modern Warfare title.
It was brought back in 2016 with Modern Warfare Remastered, and developers Infinity Ward have decided to feature it yet again – this time in their 2019 installment of the popular series.
While the map won’t be available to the public until December 3, some YouTubers got early access to the Season One content, and were able to capture gameplay on the remade map.
Here is one video, courtesy of New York Subliners pro player Dillon ‘Attach’ Price, showcasing how Crash looks in this year’s Modern Warfare multiplayer.
New area added to 2019 version of Crash
Compared to its classic counterpart from 2007 and 2016, the 2019 version of Crash is both a remaster and remake. Not only do all of the textures and visuals look a lot better, there has also been a new area added in the form of a courtyard.

This new courtyard is located towards the western edge of the map, where one of the teams usually spawns, behind what is commonly referred to as broken blue building.
While it’s not the biggest change that could have been made, it’s still pretty significant because it offers a new vantage point towards the middle of the map, and even a head-glitch that players can hide behind or mount.
In the original version, that area was covered in grass and shrubs and was out-of-bounds, inaccessible to players.
When will this new Crash be available in Modern Warfare?
Crash, and the two other classic MW maps that have been remade, will be releasing as part of the massive Season One content launch on Tuesday, December 3 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
As with all post-launch content in Modern Warfare, these maps will be available for free to all players on the three major platforms – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC – meaning PS4 will not have an exclusivity period.
