The release date for the Modern Warfare 2 remastered campaign has been leaked by the German PlayStation store – with a trailer and a few screenshots to boot.
Though many Call of Duty fans are still sinking their teeth into Modern Warfare and the Warzone battle royale mode, leaks and rumors have swirled around a few throwbacks – with the most notable being a remaster of Modern Warfare 2.
The 2009 title was a huge hit with fans, and remains a popular addition to the franchise to this day, but it hasn’t yet followed in the footsteps of Call of Duty 4 with a released remaster. Though, it appears as if fans are getting ever closer to finally having what they want.
After leaks revealed the artwork and bonuses for the Modern Warfare 2 campaign remaster, the German PlayStation Store has dropped a listing for the game – including a release date, price, trailer, and screenshots.
According to the listing, which was uncovered by CharlieIntel, the Modern Warfare 2 remastered campaign will release on Tuesday, March 31 at a price of €24.99. However, the pricing for the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, and other regions are not yet known.
Though, if Activision does decide to do a straight conversion from €24.99 to those regions, it should cost about £22, $27, and $45 AUS. Players can also get the leaked bundle for Modern Warfare’s multiplayer that includes the original Ghost operator.

As for the trailer and screenshots, the video isn’t exactly the classic trailer that was released all those years ago by Activision and Infinity Ward.
Instead, it shows some of the classic missions from the campaign, including storming the White House, being a part of the underwater demo team, and rescuing Captain Price from the Gulag.
Though the listing has been around for a few hours, the release date and price of the Modern Warfare 2 remaster has yet to be properly confirmed by Activision.
Once it is, we’ll be sure to let you know on Dexerto.
