The Promised Neverland’s Emma is brought to life by a talented cosplayer’s incredibly detailed costume, and is the best looking take on the anime character you will ever see.
Promised Neverland was one of the breakout anime series of 2019 next to Demon Slayer, as fans connected with its harrowing tale of three orphans making an escape. The series follows Emma and her friends Norma and Ray.
One talented artist shared her stunning true-to-life costume of the show’s protagonist on Instagram, and is sure to wow fans as it’s one of the most faithful portrayals of the heroine.
In the story, Emma stumbles upon a gruesome discovery while living at an orphanage called the Grace Field House that makes her realize all is not as it seems. Making a break for freedom, she and her friends set out on their own.
Cosplayer ‘layze_michelle‘ originally showed off her costume in December 2019, teaming up with photographer ‘Gabrielle Eccard‘ who captured her stunning take. The artist posed as the red-head holding a rose.
In the series, the orphan wears a simple white collared shirt and pleated skirt, which Michelle perfectly recreated. She also managed to nail the anime character’s signature messy hair, with a swirl on top.

The cosplay is one of the best we’ve seen of the popular anime, and the artist even created a video as the character. Moving her head side to side, we get a glimpse of the number 63194 on the side of her neck, which is Emma’s identification number.
Not only is her outfit insanely accurate, the artist looks exactly how we always imagined the character to look in real life. It’s almost as if she jumped from out of the anime itself.
