Popular Twitch streamer Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonatos has revealed why he is hoping to drive his viewership down in order to “rebuild” it from scratch.
Greekgodx is one of the most popular British streamers on Twitch, with an audience of 1.1 million followers, and recently moved to the United States in order to complete his switch to stream under the Team Solo Mid banner.
However, during his April 26 livestream, Greek stated that he is actively trying to drive his viewership down in order to shake toxic individuals who “follow” him around the internet.
“I’d rather just start from zero and rebuild my community and get rid of all the toxic frogs dude honestly,” he said. “They’ll still be obsessed with me, that’s the only problem. They’ll still like dislike videos, dislike any post because deep down they love me, but they love to hate me… I’m down to kill my channel and rebuild it.”
He went on to explain that these efforts to rid his channel of toxicity are the reason he’s been playing so much CoD: Warzone of late.
Greek’s viewers have been called out as toxic in the past, with streamer Erobb suggesting it affects the way in which Greek behaves. It seems like the Brit has reached a similar conclusion, and is doing his best to rid his channel of negativity.

“Give me 2,000 viewers buddy, I don’t give a f**k,” the TSM streamer continued. “As long as I’ve just got a nice community, I just wanna enjoy my experience streaming. Is that too much to ask?”
Greek finished by reflecting some of the hate and “victim” accusations he may get as a result of making the change, but brushed them off as the kind of complaints he is trying to get away from.
It is the latest change in a number of adjustments Greek is making to try and make his Twitch environment more positive. He recently shared details of an auto-ban system he and a few other streamers are trying to implement, in order to remove abusive and hateful viewers.
