YouTube stars Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul tied the knot in late July after just two months of publicly dating – but not everyone was enthused about their marriage, including viral pop star Billie Eilish.
Eilish wasn’t thrilled about the couple’s engagement, either, which went down in a Vegas nightclub just a month before their livestreamed wedding at the Graffiti Mansion.
She didn’t beat around the bush about her feelings on the matter, writing, “Eek,” and “Yikes” in two separate Instagram comments underneath Mongeau’s engagement photos.

However, that wasn’t the end of her criticism: she went on to unfollow Mongeau on Instagram in wake of her wedding, leaving fans to wonder if the beef was personal or merely to keep her following count at 666.
Mongeau wasn’t tight lipped on the subject, either, uploading a video about the unfollowing on September 4 – which she teased as a “VERY” serious response.

In keeping with her comedic ways, Tana’s response to the matter was nothing short of hilarious, featuring the MTV starlet playing sad music on a piano while she hit the bottle and watched Eilish’s music videos through a black and white filter.

Mongeau even made a jab at YouTuber “apology culture,” creating a fake apology to the singer for being a “copycat” and “the bad guy” – a reference to Eilish’s hit song.
“I just sat back and had to watch and hope she kept following me,” the YouTuber joked. “Now it’s like, I look in the mirror at myself and it’s like, I don’t want to be you anymore.”
While Mongeau’s fans found the video hilarious, this wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity has spoken out against her marriage to Jake Paul: ex-girlfriend and actress Bella Thorne likewise posted about the issue in an emotional Instagram post in wake of their engagement, openly crying in response to their upcoming union.
Despite the celebrity backlash, it doesn’t look like Mongeau is taking the criticism all that seriously – a sentiment echoed by her previous thoughts on the matter, where she admitted that she “doesn’t care” about naysayers criticizing her relationship with Team 10’s founder.
