Turner ‘Fortnite has skyrocketed many Twitch careers and you can certainly add Tfue to that list. While he did have a following before Fortnite, he definitely grew exponentially thanks to his top-tier play in the Epic Games battle royale.
Nearly two years later, that growth hasn’t stopped and he’s on the cusp of surpassing shroud as the second most followed Twitch channel. This is no small task as shroud is essentially one of the ‘legacy’ Twitch channels, and has been around since the early days of the platform.
At the time of writing, Tfue is sitting at 6,450,288 followers while shroud has 6,578,357. Both streamers are incredibly popular and each gain followers every time they stream, but Tfue’s growth is currently faster than shroud’s.
This is likely due to Tfue consistently being at the top of the Fortnite directory while shroud plays a variety of different things.

If Tfue does catch shroud, it will still be a very long time before he’s able to catch Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins, who is sitting at over 14 million followers, and still grows daily.

When could the leap happen?
If the trend continues, we could see Tfue surpass shroud as early as July, provided shroud doesn’t begin a meteoric rise at the same time.
Tfue is the fastest growing channel in the past 30 days and part of the reason may be due to all the extra eyes on him as a result of the FaZe lawsuit.
That lawsuit, complete with all the drama, is still ongoing and we’ll keep you updated with the information as it unfolds.
