YouTuber Trisha Paytas has tried her hand at a variety of different content, from making music to mukbang videos and even ASMR — but she had a self-described “falling out” with another huge name in the audiophile scene.
Zach Choi is another huge name in the YouTube world, boasting over seven million subscribers due to his massively popular combination of mukbang and ASMR videos.
For those not in the loop, a “mukbang” is an online broadcast that often features a creator eating large amounts of food for their audience, while ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) content strives to give viewers that tingly-scalp feeling by producing certain sounds over a highly sensitive microphone.
Choi has found the best of both worlds by combining these two viral topics, and even collaborated with Paytas on a number of such videos — but the two no longer create content together, as she revealed during an episode of the H3 Podcast in mid-March.
The YouTube star admitted that she and Choi had a “falling out” with each other thanks to previous drama with another mukbang YouTuber, Nikocado Avocado, who claimed that Paytas had ghosted him after convincing him to travel to the United States for a collaborative video.
“How did you guys fall out?” Podcast host Ethan Klein asked.
“The Nikocado thing,” Paytas answered. “Nikocado threw me under the bus, and then I was on drugs… everyone was throwing each other under the bus.”

She went on to clarify that the incident took place in December, which she described as her “last little drug binge” before going sober.

While her drama with Nikocado spurred a slew of backlash online, the two have since made up by finally collaborating on their previously planned mukbang video in August 2019 — but the issues don’t end there, with Nikocado also allegedly having legal troubles with Choi, himself, claiming that his fellow ASMRtist was trying to sue him in January.
Contrary to its relatively relaxing content, it seems that much drama is afoot in the ASMR/Mukbang community — leading to a falling out between two of its biggest content creators.
