With ‘The End’ in-game event expected to take place soon in Fortnite Battle Royale, data-miners have uncovered where the countdown timer for it will be located on the map.
In-game events have become a staple of Fortnite tradition for well over a year now, ever since the massive Rocket Launch that took place during Season 4.
Epic Games have used them as a way to mark the conclusion of one season and the start of the next, offering a sort-of transition from one chapter to another.
While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, all indications are that the event which will close the book on Season X will be called ‘The End.’

As in the past, Epic look to be adding an in-game timer that will countdown to when The End will start, and the location for where the timer will be placed has been leaked, thanks to data-miners ‘spedicey1‘ and ‘HYPEX.’
The image above is rendered from files found in the back end of the game, and it indicates that the timer will hover over Dusty Depot.
As can also be seen in the picture, Dusty is the location where a launch pad for a rocket was placed near the start of Season X and periodically added to throughout the various weekly updates.

The appearance of the timer at this very point on the map strongly suggests that the rocket will have something to do with the event, a theory that has been supported by various other leaks over the past few weeks.
As for when the event is expected to take place, many believe it will happen on October 13, since that has been confirmed by Epic to be the final day of Season X.
What is ‘The End’ event in Fortnite?
Aside from kicking off Season 11, many believe that The End will also mark the end of the Fortnite map as everyone currently knows it.
Some are of the mind that Epic will release a whole brand new map for the new season, while others contend that it will just be massively overhauled, with numerous locations taken out in favor of new ones.
Whatever does end up happening, all signs point to some sort of massive change coming to the popular battle royale title, although, of course, nothing has been confirmed so everyone will just have to wait and see.
