The second week of Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale is upon us, and that means the Week 2 challenges went live on Thursday, December 13. Here’s everything you need to know.
Week 2 will once again provide players with three free challenges and four that are exclusive to owners of the Season 7 Battle Pass.
The official Week 2 challenges have now gone live, and they’re virtually identical to the December 12 leaks, so players around the world can now start working through them.
Below you can see the official challenges as they appear in-game.
The challenges should be fairly straightforward. The most exciting ones at first glance are the ‘Play the Sheet Music on pianos near Pleasant Park and Lonely Lodge’ challenge and ‘Compete in a Dance Off at an abandoned mansion’.
We were expecting to see some changes to the searching chests or damaging opponents challenges, but it looks like Epic have decided to keep them nice and simple.
The official challenges are as follows:
Free Challenges
- Search a Chest in different Names Locations (7)
- Damage opponents with different types of weapons (5)
- Eliminate opponents in Snobby Shores or Fatal Fields (3) (HARD)
Battle Pass Challenges
- Stage 1: Visit Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park in a single match (2)
- Play the Sheet Music on the pianos near Pleasant Park and Lonely Lodge (2)
- Compete in a Dance Off at an abandoned mansion (1) (HARD)
- Eliminate an opponent from at least 50m away (1)
How to complete the Season 7, Week 2 challenges
Week 2 Snowfall challenge
The second week of the Snowfall challenge involves players finding a hidden Banner after completing all of the standard challenges.
You can find the Snowfall guide and location here.
Search a Chest in different Named Locations (7)
This is a pretty straightforward challenge. All you need to do is search a chest in any of the many named locations around the map; Tilted Towers, Retail Row, Polar Peak etc.

Damage opponents with different types of weapons (5)
The ‘types’ of weapons refers to various different classes like assault rifles, submachine guns and more. You can’t use 3 different types of rifle, for instance.
With that in mind, try to deal damage with any five of the following types of weapon:
- Shotguns
- Assault rifles
- SMGs
- Pistols
- Snipers
- Explosives
- Traps
- Minigun
Eliminate opponents in Snobby Shores or Fatal Fields (3) (HARD)
This challenge is classified as hard, but landing at Snobby Shores or Fatal Fields a few times should make it easy enough to complete!
Concentrate on looting early, and expect to be challenged quickly by other players attempting to complete the same task.
Stage 1: Visit Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park in a single match (2)
There are a total of three stages to this challenge and you have to complete them in order:
- Visit Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park
- Visit Dusty Divot and Lonely Lodge
- Visit Frosty Flights and Tomato Town
Play the Sheet Music on pianos near Pleasant Park and Lonely Lodge (2)
This is a repeat of one of our favorite challenges from Season 6 with a slight twist.
This time around, the sheet music is already laid out for you in front of the pianos. Here’s everything you need to know about the Week 2 sheet music challenge.
Compete in a Dance Off at an abandoned mansion (1)(HARD)
This is classed as a ‘hard’ challenge, but only requires one dance off to be completed. All you need to do is head to the old hero mansion near Lonely Lodge and take part in a dance competition with another player.
A full guide on the dance of challenge can be found here.
Eliminate an opponent from at least 50m away (1)
Find a sniper and fight as many long-range battles as possible! Alternatively, get in a Stormwing plane and rain hell on your opponents from the skies.
